INTRODUCTION

Marketing management in the country has made phenomenal growth in last two decades.  There is an ever-increasing demand for high quality managers & management graduates. This led to rapid growth in number of management institutions in the country. However a large number of institutions in spite of having good infrastructure lack in terms of efficient faculty. Faculty lack in subject knowledge, pedagogical skills & Industrial exposure; consequently the quality of management education is persistently deteriorating. As a result the management graduates are unable to meet industrial demands. Hence there is a need for intensive Training Programme to orient teachers in the institutions to the modern pedagogical tools suitable for management education.

FOR WHOM

The faculty development Programme is organized for faculty members of management schools approved by AICTE It intends to enhance the pedagogy skills of management teachers in the area of marketing.

OBJECTIVES OF FDP

·         To provide an overview of the current areas of key marketing management issues.
·         To provide an in-depth understanding of modern pedagogical tools necessary for management teachers.
·         To understand the responsibilities of the academicians and their role to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge necessary to practice marketing management.
·         To enhance the teaching and training skills of teachers.

ABOUT DSM

Deccan School of Management was established in the year 1991 by Dar-us-Salam Education Trust. It is affiliated to Osmania University and approved by AICTE. Currently DSM offers post graduate Programme in Business Administration(MBA) & Post Graduate Programme in Hospital Management (M.H.M).

It is offering MHM at its own state-of-the-art 1050 bedded Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre. It has reached the milestone of being a premier Management Institution in Andhra Pradesh. The COSMODE-BUSINESS WORLD survey 2006 rated DSM as one of the top 100 B-Schools in India. ABOUT AIMS

The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) was formed in 1988 as a network of management schools in the country at the National Conference of the Heads of Management Education Institutions on “National Education Policy and its implications for Management Education in the Country” held at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore in April 1988. Since then it grown into a powerful body for management schools in the country with a membership of about four hundred institutes.  AIMS is the second largest network of management schools in the world.
The Objective of AIMS is to: provide a dynamic network of institutions engaged in Management Education, Training and Research in India. It is to contribute to the development of Management Education, in all its aspects, both qualitatively and quantitatively and to help maintain and improve standards of teaching, research and examination.
FEE
The Programme is subsidised by AIMS.  After subsidy the fee for the Programme is Rs. 1500/-. The fee includes boarding, lodging and Study Material.  Accommodation will be provided for the non-local candidates only.
